A retreat to preserve Mayan traditions in Yucatán, Mexico
The Maya Sanctuary is not only a place to preserve and protect the environment of the Yucatán but is also a place where the Maya traditions and customs, where the knowledge of the shamans and their medicinal plants, the local farmers and organic gardening, and memory of living in harmony with Mother Earth are recovered and shared with the world.
Our mission is to preserve and protect the natural environment of the Yucatán and create educational programs to help people develop an Ecological Consciousness.
